• About Robbie

    I am a professional photographer with 15 years’ experience, having covered over 750 weddings and events all over Scotland. I specialise in wedding, portrait and event photography; however, I am also interested in landscape, architecture, interiors, automotive and product photography.

    I was born in Perthshire and have lived in Scotland all my life. I love the history, landscapes and architecture of Scotland and take inspiration from these in my work. My background is in creative design having studied Landscape Architecture in Edinburgh and Product Design in Glasgow.

  • Inspiration

    I value integrity, transparency and going the extra mile. Influences in my work include W.Eugene Smith (simply an icon); Philip-Lorca diCorcia (his colour work brings me a lot of joy, along with capturing moments of unawareness, like with “Heads”, his portrait series for which he photographed thousands of passers-by); Elliott Erwitt (I love this quote: “I am obsessed with dogs - because they remind me of people, but with more hair”); Nadav Kander, Martin Schoeller, and Phil Penman, my current favourites to follow on Instagram.

    Natural and individual; I like to reflect the personalities of the couple, through my photography - in an authentic way. I document the flow and mood of each wedding in a nonintrusive and laidback manner.

    It’s not simply about capturing the best photographs; the narrative, including locations, is crucial. It is important to me to understand how the client feels. I am here to provide advice and support at every step of the journey.

    From advice on the perfect locations, to making the day your own, I have been through the journey with many couples so can offer my own insights. Most of all, your wedding should be an enjoyable day with family and friends, or even just the two of you. I am here to ensure you have an amazing time with beautiful and honest photography to look back on for years to come.
